British diplomats honor memory of fallen Ukrainian defenders

United Kingdom Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons and British Defence Attaché Air Commodore Peter Cracroft have laid flowers to the Wall of Remembrance of the Fallen for Ukraine in Kyiv as a sign of respect for the fallen Ukrainian defenders.

The relevant statement was made by the British Embassy Kyiv on the social media platform X, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On the eve of Remembrance Day for Defenders of Ukraine United Kingdom Ambassador Dame Melinda Simmons and British Defence Attaché Air Commodore Peter Cracroft paid their respects to the fallen Ukrainian servicemen and servicewomen who have died fighting off the illegal aggression of Russia,” the report states.

A reminder that, on August 29, Ukraine marks Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine fallen in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
