The stone city of Gjirokastër in Albania continues to attract many local and foreign tourists.

The museum center of the city is the starting point, as all tourists begin their visit from the city’s castle, CE Report quotes ATA.

The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, shared on social media a video featuring impressions from several tourists who visited Gjirokastër Castle during April.

“The Castle of Argjiro through the words of visitors who enjoy it in every season and at all times,” wrote Kumbaro.

A tourist said, “We’re from France, this is our first time in Albania and in Gjirokastër. We discovered this wonderful castle with a magical view – it’s truly impressive.”

Klara from Germany said, “We really enjoyed the experience here at the castle. It’s so nice that you can walk everywhere and the view is fantastic. We love it.”

Another tourist from the USA said, “I’m of Chinese-American descent. I just arrived in Albania and then came to Gjirokastër – it’s super beautiful, as you can see the weather is fantastic, the castle is wonderful, and the views are amazing.”

A couple of tourists said, “We live in London, this is our first time in Albania. We arrived yesterday and today we came to Gjirokastër. So far we are really enjoying it – the castle is beautiful and very well preserved. It’s amazing how much history there is here, with many interesting periods. The views are extraordinary and the place is still very well maintained.”

According to them, the castle is the ideal place for a relaxed walk.

“There’s not an overload of information, just enough, and the info boards are clear,” they said.

Stacey from Leeds, England, said, “We really liked it here.”

Meanwhile, Edmond Saushi from Berat said, “I came to visit the castle – this is my second time. It’s very beautiful. The structures must be preserved – they are rare treasures.”
