
Tourist dies after gas explosion
A 54-year-old Scottish tourist, badly burned in the collapse of a building in the Monteverde Vecchio neighborhood in Rome on March 23, died from his injuries.
The man, Grant Paterson, was in a B&B housed in the building, CE Report quotes ANSA.
Paterson, from East Kilbride in Lanarkshire, worked for Scottish ferry operator CalMac.
He arrived in the Italian capital on a solo tourist trip on March 21.
Paterson suffered burns on 75% of his body from the gas explosion that caused the collapse.
