The Chairwoman of the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA), Armela Krasniqi, participated in the 11th Assembly of the Black Sea Broadcasting Regulatory Authorities Forum (BRAF), held in Baku, Azerbaijan, with a central focus on protecting children from harmful content, CE Report quotes ATA.

In a social media post, Krasniqi stated that “the best interest of the child is one of the key objectives of AMA's work. We have reflected this not only in the institution’s organic law or in the revised Broadcasting Code — in which the section focused on child protection has been enriched with the highest standards of child protection — but also through a wide-ranging Media Literacy campaign.”

“The development of technology and the challenges it has brought to regulating the audiovisual media market are also a focus of our efforts, addressed not only through the necessary legal changes but also through concrete commitments in regulating Video Sharing Platforms and protecting children from harmful content circulating in the online environment,” Krasniqi emphasized.

She added that “this is ongoing work and a daily challenge. Sharing experiences with colleagues from other countries, exchanging practices and cooperating are the only ways to successfully overcome these challenges.”
