
Victory Rocket Launches to ISS
Russia's Soyuz-2.1a rocket, named the Victory Rocket to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome on Tuesday. The rocket carries the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft, with Russian cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov, Alexey Zubritsky, and NASA astronaut Jonathan Kim aboard, heading to the International Space Station (ISS), CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
The spacecraft is on a rapid "two-orbit rendezvous" path, set to reach the ISS in just 3 hours and 17 minutes, with docking scheduled at 12:04 p.m. Moscow time. The crew will spend 245 days aboard the ISS. The rocket also features special symbols commemorating World War II victory.
