Portugal's Public Security Police warned about the hidden meanings of 'emojis' used by young people on social media, especially in conversations with sexual or drug-related content, urging parents and guardians to be vigilant about this reality, writes LUSA.

The PSP emphasizes that the use of new technologies at an increasingly young age has led to the "rapid spread of images and messages that promote insecurity." The police explain that some 'emojis' have double meanings, which can be related to sexual content or to drug trafficking and consumption, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

She emphasizes that parents should monitor their children's online activities and be alert to these risks, especially when they are chatting with strangers on various online platforms.
