Türkiye and China Collaborate on AI in Medicine
Türkiye’s Scientific and Technological Research Institution and China’s National Natural Science Foundation have announced a collaboration focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine and agriculture. This partnership includes projects on cancer immunotherapy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and agricultural sustainability, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
The “Cancer Immunotherapy and Clinical Translation Research” project aims to develop treatments like drugs and vaccines to strengthen the immune system’s fight against cancer, using AI and large-scale data. A separate study will explore AI applications in MRI and ultrasound technologies to create 3D anatomical images.
Additionally, a "Green and Sustainable Agriculture" initiative will address the European Green Deal’s goals of food security, biodiversity preservation, and reducing the environmental impact of food systems, with Türkiye and the EU cooperating on this effort.
Researchers from Türkiye and China will jointly work on these projects, with bilateral cooperation required for participation. Applications are open until May 30, with funding caps of 3 million Turkish liras for Turkish partners and 5 million Turkish liras (1 million Chinese yuan) for Chinese partners.
