European Dream Alive: Prishtina Closes in on Europa League Spot

Prishtina has given a clear message that it has returned strongly to the competition for trophies and access to Europe. The capital team has qualified for the final of the Kosovo Cup after a great victory over Drita, with a score of 3:0, in the return leg of the semi-final, held on Wednesday evening at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Although they faced the current leader of the Super League and one of the most stable teams of this edition, the blue and white team led by Arsim Thaçi excelled in every aspect of the game, closing the semi-final with an overall score of 4:0 after two matches.

The hero of the evening for Prishtina was Ardian Muja, who scored twice in the first half. He scored in the 10th minute after a precise assist from Ramiz Bytyqi, while he found the net again in the 39th minute after a combination with Leotrim Kryeziu. In both cases, with shots from inside the 16-meter area.

Just a few minutes later, at the end of the first half, Albin Krasniqi put the "seal" of victory with a super goal from a free kick, which brought the fans to their feet. prishtinas, who despite the rain remained loyal to their favorite team.

Thus, in the Kosovo Cup final they will face off Prishtina and Llapi. This will be the first meeting of these two teams in a cup final. For Prishtina, this is the third time in a row that they will play in the final. Last year they lost to Balkan, while two years ago they triumphed over Gjilan.

Meanwhile, for Llapi, this is the third final in the last four years. In the past two times, they managed to enjoy the trophy, in 2021 and 2022.

The final match is scheduled to take place on May 14 at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium, and the winner, in addition to the trophy, also secures participation in European competitions, more specifically in the UEFA Europa League.
