Speaking to FIFA’s official website, Ramos praised the tournament's new format as "a great opportunity" for teams and players to showcase their quality. He also called FIFA’s decision to host the event in the US a wise one, pointing to the growing passion for football in both the US and Mexico.
"In Europe, we might have a bit more passion for the game, but in the US, football is gaining ground among other sports like the NBA and American football," Ramos noted.
Currently playing in Mexico with Monterrey, Ramos emphasized the importance of fan support, especially from the Mexican community in Los Angeles. "It’s essential to feel the love and support of our fans, even when we’re away from home," he said.
He also spoke of his ambition to win the tournament with Monterrey, saying, "Everything is possible in football. Your attitude, effort, and commitment are non-negotiable."
Ramos concluded by praising the tournament's new trophy and revealed that the chance to compete in such events was a key reason behind his move to Mexico.
