Croatia to defend title in historic deaf chess tournament

For the first time in history, Croatia will host the European Deaf Chess Team Championship, which will take place on 5-13 April in Seget Donji, near Trogir.

The competition will bring together nearly one hundred of the best European chess players with hearing impairments from 12 countries, and the Croatian team will defend its title as one of the most successful teams in the history of this sport, CE Report quotes HINA.

The Croatian deaf men's chess team is the current world and Olympic champion.

The European Deaf Chess Team Championship was first held in 2015 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
