A self-styled 'Ethiopian princess' was found guilty of stalking her ex boyfriend and Paralympic swimming medallist Manuel Bortuzzo.

The woman, Lucrezia Hailé Selassiè, got a suspended term of one year and eight months in jail for stalking Bortuzzo, who won a bronze medal in the men's 100 m breaststroke SB4 in Paris last year, CE Report quotes ANSA.

Bortuzzo, 25, was left paralysed from the waist down in a shooting incident outside a Rome pub in February 2019, in which he was an innocent bystander.

Sealassiè was found guilty of having stalked Bortuzzo for months, going as far as threatening to kill him if he did not return to her.
