After winning two world titles and a mixed team silver at the World Championships, Slovenian ski jumping star Nika Prevc has secured her second consecutive Crystal Globe by winning the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup event in Oslo two weeks before the end of the season.

Prevc has earned 1,533 points this season, an unassailable 455 points clear of runner-up, Katharina Schmid of Germany. Another German, Selina Freitag is third at 1,041 points, CE Report quotes The Slovenia Times.

"This was another amazing event with a great result... I think I can now relax even more and truly enjoy the jumping," Prevc, who will turn 20 in two days, told the organisers.

She cemented her second overall victory by winning the large hill event in Oslo. She delivered the longest jumps, of 131 and 130 metres, to earn 254.1 points.

Anna Odine Stroem of Norway in second place was 27.9 points behind Prevc, while her compatriot Eirin Maria Kvandal in third had a gap of 37.2 points.

This was Prevc's 12th victory this season and her 19th career win.

The jumpers are now heading to another Norwegian venue, Vikersund, to compete on the giant hill. Prevc says her goal is to pass the 200-metre mark for the first time. Her current record is 190.5 metres.

"I'm happy with my performance today, although I lost the feeling a bit in the second jump. I hope to recapture that feeling in Vikersund tomorrow," she said.

Prevc will be joined in Vikersund by Ema Klinec, who holds the Slovenian women's record with 226 metres.

Klinec is in tenth place in the overall World Cup standings at the moment, having finished 13th today, 83.5 points behind Prevc.
