"His arrival is an unprecedented milestone in the club’s history," Monterrey said, highlighting Ramos' legendary career and global recognition.

Ramos, 38, is regarded as one of the greatest central defenders in football history. During his 16 years at Real Madrid (2005–2021), he won five La Liga titles, four UEFA Champions League titles, and three UEFA Super Cups, scoring 101 goals in 671 appearances.

He later helped Paris Saint-Germain secure back-to-back Ligue 1 titles in 2022 and 2023.

On the international stage, Ramos played a key role in Spain’s golden era, winning the 2010 FIFA World Cup and consecutive EURO titles in 2008 and 2012. With 180 caps and 23 goals, he remains one of Spain’s most decorated players.

Individually, Ramos was named UEFA’s Best Defender in 2017, made the UEFA Team of the Year eight times, and was a six-time Ballon d’Or nominee.

His move to Monterrey marks a new chapter for the veteran defender as he continues his illustrious career in Mexico.
