The former Manchester United manager signed a contract that runs until the end of the 2025-26 season, with an optional one-year extension.

Solskjaer, 51, has a strong coaching record, having won two Norwegian Premier League titles and a Norwegian Cup with Molde. He also managed Manchester United from December 2019, initially as a caretaker, before serving nearly three seasons in charge.

Beşiktaş recently made changes to its leadership after former chairman Hasan Arat resigned in late 2024, followed by the departure of Dutch coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
