At Emirates Stadium, Tottenham's Son Heung-min opened the scoring in the 25th minute, converting a corner with a precise shot into the bottom right corner. However, an own goal by Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke in the 40th minute brought Arsenal level. Just four minutes later, Belgian winger Leandro Trossard restored the lead for the Gunners.

The win keeps Arsenal within four points of league leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand. Meanwhile, Tottenham sits in 13th place with 24 points.
