Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards has been fined $50,000 by the NBA for making an obscene gesture toward a game official during the third quarter of the Timberwolves’ 127-125 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

This marks the fifth disciplinary action against Edwards this season, with total fines now reaching $285,000. Earlier this season, he was fined $35,000 for a similar incident during a November 15 game against the Sacramento Kings.

The two-time All-Star, now in his fifth NBA season, has faced increasing scrutiny for his on- and off-court behavior. Despite the controversies, Edwards remains a key player for Minnesota, averaging 25.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.

As the Timberwolves contend with Edwards' disciplinary issues, the team continues to focus on keeping their playoff hopes alive.
