Fury announces retirement from boxing after loss to Usyk

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced his retirement from boxing following his December rematch defeat to Ukrainian heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

In a brief Instagram video, the "Gypsy King" shared the news, saying, "It's been a blast. I have loved every single minute of it, and I'm going to end with this — Dick Turpin wore a mask!"

The announcement comes shortly after reports that Wembley Stadium was reserved for a potential fight between Fury and British rival Anthony Joshua.

This isn’t Fury’s first retirement. He stepped away in August 2022, relinquishing his Ring heavyweight title, but returned six months later to defeat Derek Chisora.

A two-time heavyweight world champion, Fury first claimed the title in 2015 after a stunning victory over Wladimir Klitschko.
