AC Milan Part Ways with Head Coach Paulo Fonseca

AC Milan have announced the dismissal of Portuguese head coach Paulo Fonseca following a 1-1 draw against Roma in Sunday’s Serie A match, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

“AC Milan announces that Paulo Fonseca has been relieved from his duties as Head Coach of the Men's First Team. The Club extends its gratitude to Paulo for his great professionalism and wishes him the very best in his future endeavours,” the club stated on Monday.

Fonseca, 51, was appointed in June but lasted just six months in the role.

The draw leaves Milan in eighth place with 27 points, 14 points behind league leaders Atalanta and Napoli. In the UEFA Champions League, the Rossoneri are currently 12th in the 36-team standings, having secured 12 points from six matches.

Fonseca’s previous managerial roles include stints at Porto, Braga, Shakhtar Donetsk, Roma, and Lille.
