Fatih Terim Appointed Head Coach of Saudi Club Al Shabab
Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab announced the appointment of Fatih Terim as their new head coach on Friday, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
Terim, known as one of Turkish football’s most iconic coaches, steps into the role following the departure of Vitor Pereira. His debut match will be the Saudi King's Cup quarterfinal against Al-Fayha on January 6.
Al Shabab currently sits sixth in the Saudi Pro League standings, with 23 points after 13 matches, trailing league leaders Al-Ittihad by 13 points.
The 71-year-old boasts an illustrious career, having managed clubs like Galatasaray, Fiorentina, and AC Milan. Under his leadership, Galatasaray secured the UEFA Cup in 2000, defeating Arsenal in a historic final. Terim has also won eight Turkish Super Lig titles and guided the Turkish national team to the UEFA Euro 2008 semifinals.
