In the men's category, in Group C of the Davis Cup, Romania beat Turkey 2-1. Alejandro Mateo Berge Nourescu won the first singles match, 7-5, 6-3 against Aren Baybars, and then Yannick Theodor Alexandrescu defeated Kaan Isik Kosaner, 6-4, 6-1. In the doubles event, the Romanians got defeated by the pair Aren Baybars/Doruk Calikoglu, 6-4, 6-4..
