Romanian-Ukrainian pair Gabriela Ruse/Marta Kostiuk qualified on Thursday for the second round of the women's doubles at the US Open tennis tournament, the last Grand Slam of the year, after defeating the Ukrainian-American couple Katerina Baindl/Katie Volynets 6-1, 7-6 (7/5) at the Flushing Meadows tennis courts in New York, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
