
Romanian Prime Minister Sends Condolences Following Deadly Fire in Kocani, North Macedonia
Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu has expressed his condolences to the victims of a tragic nightclub fire in Kocani, North Macedonia, which claimed the lives of at least 51 people, CE Report quotes Agerpres
"I am saddened by the news about the tragic fire in the city of Kocani, which took the lives of many young people. On behalf of the Government of Romania, I send my condolences to those affected by this tragedy. We share the pain with the North Macedonians and are ready to offer our support, standing in solidarity with them in these difficult times," Ciolacu wrote on the X platform on Sunday.
The fire, which broke out on the night between Saturday and Sunday, occurred during a performance by a popular hip-hop band at a packed nightclub in Kocani, located around 100 kilometers east of Skopje. Over 100 others were injured in the blaze.
