Romanian Justice Minister Calls for Fair Investigations in High-Profile Cases

Justice Minister Radu Marinescu has urged judicial authorities to conduct investigations into the cases of Calin Georgescu and the Tate brothers in a fair, objective, and impartial manner, respecting the presumption of innocence, CE Report quotes Agerpres

In a statement on Facebook, Marinescu emphasized that Romania must uphold the rule of law with an independent judiciary. He reaffirmed his commitment to non-interference in judicial procedures and stated that justice should remain apolitical and impartial.

While acknowledging public interest in these cases, the minister stressed that official communication must adhere to legal boundaries. His priority, he added, is ensuring the full functionality of the judicial system without political influence.
