Romanian Foreign Minister Meets US Envoy Ahead of Munich Security Conference

Romanian Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu met with US special envoy Richard Grenell in Berlin on Thursday, discussing key issues of mutual interest between Romania and the United States, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, CE Report quotes Agerpres

Hurezeanu will attend the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC 2025) from Friday to Sunday, where global security threats, transatlantic cooperation, European defense, and geopolitical crises will be discussed. He will highlight Romania's concerns over the security situation in the Black Sea region and the impact of Russia’s war in Ukraine on Euro-Atlantic security.

On the sidelines of the conference, Hurezeanu will hold bilateral meetings with officials from Europe, North America, the Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East, as well as participate in thematic events.
