Romania has successfully completed all 12 OECD evaluations planned for 2024, announced Luca Niculescu, Secretary of State within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Coordinator for Romania's OECD accession process, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"I am happy to announce that we have successfully completed all the OECD evaluations planned for this year. We received the final two Formal Opinions from the Fisheries and Health Committees. Many thanks to my colleagues from the institutions involved!" Niculescu shared on social media.

Despite this milestone, 13 more committee evaluations remain before Romania's accession to the OECD. Niculescu emphasized that if the current pace continues, Romania is on track to join the organization in 2026 as planned. He acknowledged the challenges ahead due to the complexity of the process but remained optimistic about Romania's progress.

Niculescu learned of the final approvals while attending OECD discussions on the upcoming evaluations for the year ahead.
