Romanian Coalition Aims to Restore Public Trust

The coalition formed by the Social Democratic Party (PSD), the National Liberal Party (PNL), the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR), and the parliamentary group of national minorities is committed to rebuilding citizens' trust, UDMR President Kelemen Hunor announced Monday after signing a political agreement, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"We are in a deep political and trust crisis. This coalition aims to regain public confidence, as it is essential for overcoming the crisis and implementing necessary reforms that benefit every community and individual," Hunor stated.

He emphasized the urgency of organizing presidential elections soon, ideally before next year’s Easter holidays. Additionally, he highlighted the coalition’s focus on crafting a balanced budget for 2025 as a key challenge in the coming months.
