Romania

The Christmas Fair at Savarsin Royal Castle is now open, offering visitors a chance to meet local craftsmen and producers while exploring key attractions on the royal estate. The event, announced by the Romanian Royal Family, runs until Sunday, CE Report quotes Agerpres

The fair was inaugurated on Thursday evening in the presence of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, His Royal Highness Prince Radu, and Their Royal Highnesses Princess Sofia and Princess Maria. Local officials, including Savarsin Mayor Ioan Vodicean, and representatives from the Royal Collection Foundation also attended.

In addition to the fair, visitors can explore the Royal Automobile Museum, the Tea House, King Michael's Car Repair Shop, and the Souvenir Shop, though the Royal Park is closed for the winter.

The royal family will remain in Savarsin for Christmas and New Year's celebrations. Continuing a cherished tradition, they will distribute Christmas gifts to families in need and to employees of the castle and local forestry district.

Christmas Eve will feature a performance by Savarsin's traditional drummers, the Dubasi, at the Royal Village square. On Christmas morning, the royal family will attend the Christmas service at the local Orthodox Church.
