PNL Ready to Help Romania Form a New Government, Says Interim President Ilie Bolojan

Romania

Interim President of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Ilie Bolojan, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to aiding in the formation of a new government, emphasizing the urgency of the situation, CE Report quotes Agerpres

“Romania is already in a complicated state, and failure to establish a governing coalition will have serious consequences for its citizens. The country urgently needs a new government to draft a responsible budget, boost the economy, and secure European funding. The PNL is ready to take responsibility in this effort,” Bolojan stated via the party’s press office.

This comes as Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Thursday that the Social Democratic Party (PSD) is stepping back from coalition talks and will support a right-wing government in Parliament.
