PM Ciolacu: It is totally unacceptable to mix politics and sports like the PM from Kosovo is doing

Romania

Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu has described as "unacceptable" the way in which the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, reacted after his country's football team left the field during the match with the Romanian national team in Bucharest, CE Report quotes Agerpres

"It is totally unacceptable to mix politics and sports like the prime minister of Kosovo is doing right now, after his national football team's gesture of abandoning the match against Romania, claiming that he will exert political and diplomatic pressure to punish us! He is trying in vain to turn the culprit into a victim and - worse - he wants to put political pressure on the European football forum, hoping for an illusory decision! I tell him directly and clearly that, no matter how hard he tries, he cannot distort reality and that he is going down the wrong path anyway because politics has no place in sports," Ciolacu wrote on Sunday, on Facebook.
