
Ukraine Reshapes Defense Leadership
Ukraine has overhauled its defense leadership, naming three new deputy ministers to improve efficiency and strengthen international cooperation amid its war with Russia, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced the appointments Tuesday, highlighting the goal of increasing agility and aligning more closely with global partners.
Sergiy Boyev, previously focused on international cooperation, becomes first deputy minister and will lead coordination and defense-industrial development. Lt. Gen. Mykola Shevtsov was appointed deputy for logistics and procurement, while Oleksandr Kozenko will oversee aviation development.
The ministry also confirmed the departure of Serhii Melnyk, who supported military personnel services and NATO cooperation. He will continue serving in a different role.
