Sandu Meets Diaspora in Italy, Spain

President Maia Sandu met with Moldovan communities in Italy and Spain, highlighting efforts to build a "safe, fair, and European Moldova." She stressed that the concerns of Moldovans abroad remain a top priority in her talks with international partners, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

In Rome, Sandu announced that the Social Protection Agreement with Italy is close to ratification and is expected to take effect by the end of the year. In Spain, Moldovans already benefit from similar agreements on social protection and driver's license recognition.

Roughly 100,000 Moldovans live in Italy and over 22,000 in Spain.
