PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis opened the party’s Policy Sectors Conference on Sunday at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Paleo Faliro, declaring that Greeks "deserve much more" than what the New Democracy (ND) government is offering, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

“We are showing the Greek people an alternative path. Yes, we can do better," Androulakis said, accusing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and ND of undermining democracy and the rule of law. He emphasized PASOK’s independence from vested interests and called for unity and dynamic action.

Highlighting widening inequalities, declining public services, and economic stagnation under ND, Androulakis said government measures were "last-ditch ploys" that ignored real issues. He pointed out that Greece's real GDP remains lower than in 2010 and criticized the ineffective use of the Recovery Fund.

Androulakis also outlined PASOK’s governance plan, which includes:

  • Launching a Public Property Management Company to add 40,000 rental properties over five years.

  • Regulating short-term rentals in pressure zones.

  • Ending Golden Visas in small islands and urban centers.

  • Reforming investment visa policies to ease housing pressures.

  • Offering tax incentives for rental property owners.

  • Supporting borrowers and addressing private debt.

  • Strengthening the agricultural sector.

He concluded by calling PASOK a "popular and patriotic movement with deep roots in society."
