Trump Says Iran Talks Progressing
Former U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program are "going very well," suggesting progress toward a potential agreement, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump mentioned two possible outcomes, noting one was "not a good option," while expressing optimism about a peaceful resolution that "could save a lot of lives."
The U.S. and Iran have held two rounds of high-level talks in Oman and Rome over the past two weeks, with another round of working-level negotiations expected Saturday. Trump has reportedly set a 60-day window for a deal, though no deadline has been confirmed.
He also said more countries may soon join the Abraham Accords, the normalization deals between Israel and Muslim-majority nations launched during his presidency. While not naming specific countries, Trump said interest remains strong and predicted rapid expansion of the agreements.
