China, Azerbaijan Pledge to Defend Global Trade Fairness

Tariff and trade wars undermine "the rights and legitimate interests of all countries, damage the multilateral trade system, and impact the global economic order."

This was stated by President Xi Jinping during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, who is visiting Beijing, CE Report quotes ANSA.

According to state media, Xi said that China is willing to cooperate with Azerbaijan "to safeguard the international system with the UN at its core and an order based on international law" with the aim of "firmly protecting their respective legitimate rights and interests and defending international fairness and justice."
