Fourth Frigate Confirmed
Greek National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias confirmed Wednesday that plans for a fourth FDI (Belharra) frigate are included in the newly approved Structure of Forces by the Greek Parliament, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian
He noted that the potential delivery, pending a finalized agreement, is also part of the Long-Term Armaments Program presented by the Hellenic National Defence General Staff. The minister’s comments followed a National Security Council meeting and responded to opposition criticism claiming they were not informed about the frigate deal.
