Greece Will Protect Economy Amid Global Turmoil

In his weekly government update on Sunday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reassured the public that the government will work to shield the Greek economy from the ongoing global economic turmoil. He emphasized Greece’s strong commitment to free trade principles and active participation in shaping a unified European response to the new global challenges, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Mitsotakis also stressed that “no one can benefit from a generalized trade war” and highlighted the government’s decision to proceed with a 25 billion euro, 12-year armament program. This, he said, reflects a responsible approach to national defense and support for Greece's Armed Forces.

The Prime Minister concluded by reaffirming the government's ongoing dedication to the security forces and society as a whole, with further decisions expected at this year's Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).
