Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi and Andrew Peek, Senior Director for Europe and Eurasia at the National Security Council, discussed the regional security situation, focusing on the Trump administration's vision for a Ukraine ceasefire and lasting peace. Popșoi updated on developments in Transnistria and Moldova’s efforts to enhance national security, stability, and energy diversification—key steps toward Moldova's European integration, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

They also addressed Moldova's upcoming parliamentary elections, with Peek praising the organization of recent presidential elections and the constitutional referendum. Popșoi emphasized Moldova’s commitment to being a reliable U.S. partner.

Popșoi is on a working visit to the U.S. from March 29 to April 6, including attending the opening of Moldova’s new consulates in Sacramento and Chicago.
