Moldova-U.S. Partnership Talks in Washington

Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, met with U.S. officials in Washington to discuss strengthening the strategic partnership, regional security, and Moldova’s European integration, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Popșoi held talks with Brian Mast, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Senator Roger Wicker, Chairman of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe. The discussions centered on advancing Moldova's European path, addressing regional security challenges, and enhancing defense and resilience against external threats, particularly the impact of the war in Ukraine.

Popșoi expressed Moldova's gratitude for the U.S.'s continued support, highlighting its role in strengthening Moldova’s defense and state institutions. He also met with members of the Moldova Caucus to thank them for their efforts in promoting Moldova’s interests in Congress.
