Greek Minister Talks Ukraine's Reconstruction and Energy

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion, Tasos Chatzivasiliou, visited Kiev for meetings with Ukrainian ministers to discuss reconstruction, energy needs, and bilateral economic cooperation, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Upon arrival, Chatzivasiliou paid respects at the Monument of Fallen Soldiers, honoring those who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence. He then met with various Ukrainian officials, including State Minister Oleh Nemchinov and Deputy Ministers from key sectors like reconstruction, economy, and energy.

Chatzivasiliou highlighted Greece’s readiness to support Ukraine’s rebuilding efforts and emphasized investment opportunities between the two nations. He also met with Ukrainian specialists at the Greek embassy in Kiev, accompanied by Greek Ambassador Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos.

In a statement after the meetings, Chatzivasiliou stressed the importance of a ceasefire, rapid reconstruction, and deeper economic ties, noting the significant Greek community in Ukraine.
