During Thursday's press briefing, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis highlighted the upcoming increase in the minimum wage to 880 euros per month starting April 1. This marks another step towards the government's goal of raising the minimum wage to 950 euros by the end of its four-year term, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Marinakis also pointed out that unemployment continues to decline, reaching a record low of 8.7%, while 500,000 new jobs have been created. Additionally, the proportion of workers earning above 1,000 euros has risen to 53.7%, up from 36.3% in 2019.

On a separate note, Marinakis discussed Chevron's interest in Greece’s energy sector. Greece is now expanding exploration opportunities, with four new areas covering 47,000 square kilometers. This move boosts Greece's potential to discover commercially viable energy deposits, benefiting the nation as a whole.
