Romania Reaffirms Support for Ukraine in High-Level Meeting Hosted by UK PM

Acting President Ilie Bolojan participated in an online meeting on Saturday, convened by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, to discuss the ongoing situation in Ukraine, CE Report quotes Agerpres

Bolojan emphasized Romania’s unwavering support for Ukraine and the need for a lasting and just peace. He stressed that an unconditional ceasefire is a crucial first step, calling on Russia to agree to it.

The virtual summit gathered around 25 European leaders and key allies of Ukraine. In his opening remarks, Starmer stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin will eventually have to engage in serious negotiations to end the conflict.
