University of York Plans to Open Branches in Greece

The University of York has announced plans to submit an application to establish higher education branches in Thessaloniki and Athens, according to government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Marinakis highlighted York’s strong academic reputation, noting its ranking of 146th worldwide in the Times Higher Education 2025 rankings.

Additionally, he mentioned DBRS Morningstar’s recent upgrade of the Greek economy, calling it a testament to the country’s stable economic policies.

Marinakis also discussed the implementation of a new Code of Conduct for commercial enterprises, designed to prevent misleading discount practices by ensuring transparency in original pricing and discount percentages.
