Moldovan Parliament Speaker Urges Russian Envoy to Show Patience and Respect
During today's parliamentary session, Moldova's Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, addressed Oleg Ozerov, the appointed head of Russia's diplomatic mission in Chisinau, urging him to "have patience and show more respect towards Moldova."
Grosu reassured that Ozerov would have the opportunity to present his credentials at the Moldovan Presidency but emphasized the need for patience. "Where is Mr. Ozerov rushing to? Everything will happen in due time. A little patience, more respect towards Moldova, and this eagerly awaited event will take place," he stated, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
The issue escalated when Russia's Foreign Ministry summoned Moldova’s Ambassador to Moscow, Lilian Darii, on March 5, demanding an explanation, as Ozerov has been in Moldova since October.
Moldova’s Foreign Ministry responded, asserting that setting the date and format for accreditation ceremonies is the sole prerogative of the host state, in line with diplomatic customs and institutional agendas.
