Minister of State Makis Voridis criticized the parties behind the censure motion against the government, accusing them of political exploitation rather than seeking real answers. Speaking in Parliament at the start of a three-day debate, Voridis claimed PASOK's initiative aimed to overthrow the government and questioned whether the ultimate goal was to trigger snap elections and form a coalition, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

He emphasized that New Democracy (ND) would respond firmly on Friday, showing full support for the government and Prime Minister. Voridis also dismissed claims linking the Tempi train tragedy to the current government's privatization policies, pointing out that TrainOSE was sold to an Italian company in 2017 under a previous administration.

"The parties behind the motion are not looking for answers; they are using this for political gain," Voridis asserted.
