US President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that the United States intends to secure Greenland “one way or another,” highlighting its strategic importance, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Speaking to Congress, Trump emphasized Greenland’s role in national and international security, expressing confidence that the US would gain control over the territory. He also voiced support for Greenlanders, saying they are welcome to join the US if they choose.

Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory since 1979, is rich in minerals and holds a key Arctic location. However, both Denmark and Greenland have rejected any sale, with a recent survey showing that 85% of Greenland’s population opposes joining the US.
