SFS to Monitor Flower Trade and HoReCa Sectors Ahead of Women's Day

Politics

The State Fiscal Service (SFS) will conduct monitoring actions on taxpayers in the flower trade and HoReCa sectors as demand surges for International Women’s Day, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

These actions include fiscal controls through prompt verification to ensure compliance with tax regulations, prevent undocumented transactions, and curb the misuse of cash registers.

SFS reports that non-compliance risks in the HoReCa sector remain high. In February 2025, 111 inspections were conducted, uncovering violations in 55 cases, leading to tax penalties of 261,000 lei and additional sanctions of 58,000 lei.

To avoid penalties, businesses are urged to issue fiscal receipts, declare incomes correctly, and meet tax obligations. Citizens are also encouraged to request receipts for every purchase.
