Bulgarian PM Convenes Security Council Amid Geopolitical Tensions

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has called a Security Council meeting at the Council of Ministers at 4 p.m. to assess the current geopolitical situation and its impact on national security, the government press service announced Tuesday, CE Report quotes BTA

Alongside the Council’s permanent members, leaders of all parliamentary groups have been invited.

The meeting follows reports that U.S. President Donald Trump has temporarily suspended military aid to Ukraine after discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Major outlets, including the Associated Press and Reuters, cited a White House official confirming the pause, while Fox News emphasized it is not a permanent halt.
