Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the UK on Saturday, landing at Stansted Airport after a tense confrontation with former US President Donald Trump at the White House, British media reported, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Zelenskyy is set to meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Downing Street this afternoon. On Sunday, Starmer will host a summit with European leaders to discuss a potential Ukraine peace agreement, stressing the importance of US involvement.

The visit follows a public spat between Zelenskyy, Trump, and US Vice President JD Vance regarding Ukraine’s handling of the ongoing war with Russia. The dispute led to the cancellation of a planned signing ceremony for a critical minerals deal and a news conference.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will also attend the London summit, where he is expected to discuss Türkiye’s role in peace negotiations and reaffirm support for Ukraine’s sovereignty. Ankara has previously mediated talks between Russia and Ukraine and remains committed to a diplomatic resolution.
