
Romania and Moldova: No Ukraine Peace Deal Without Kyiv
Romania and Moldova emphasized that no decision on peace in Ukraine or its future should be made without Kyiv and firm security guarantees. Acting Romanian President Ilie Bolojan made the statement after meeting with Moldovan President Maia Sandu, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Both leaders reaffirmed their support for a "just and lasting peace" in Ukraine. Bolojan warned that an unstable ceasefire could lead to renewed conflict if Russia maintains expansionist ambitions.
Sandu echoed this sentiment, stating, "No one wants peace more than Ukraine, and today, Ukraine ensures peace for us in Moldova. We will continue to support its efforts for lasting and just peace."
