EU Approves €1.9 Billion Support Package for Moldova

MPs welcomed the European Parliament and EU member states' decision to provide €1.9 billion in aid to Moldova. Speaker Igor Grosu emphasized the significance of this support, stating, "We see who our friends are and how much they stand by us." CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The funds will be invested in Moldova's economy, rural development, job creation, and projects aimed at improving citizens' living standards.

"Especially in these difficult times, we appreciate this support and will ensure its full utilization," Grosu added.

The aid package, agreed upon on February 19, aims to accelerate Moldova’s socio-economic reforms, enhance resilience, and advance EU integration.
